Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking an engineering professional for development of vehicle components and alternate sourcing through suppliers. You will drive end-to-end efforts for quality, cost, and on-time delivery of critical components for motorcycle and commercial vehicle programs.

The role requires a background in manufacturing processes and costing, with exposure to TPM/IATF/PPAP/APQP standards. DP/PM projects demand strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering is required.
• Post-graduation in materials management desirable.
• Experience with component development and vendor sourcing leads.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and costing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role: Development of components for new projects/alternate sourcing through vendors.
• Responsibilities: development of proprietary vehicle components for motorcycle & CV projects per timelines (locks, brakes, forks, shocks, etc).
• End-to-end responsibility for quality, cost and delivery of the component.

Job Responsibilities

Role: Development of Components for New Projects/Alternate sourcing through Vendors.

Responsibilities: Development of Proprietary Vehicle components for Motorcycle & CV Projects as per Project timelines. (Components like Locks , Brakes, Fork & Shock Absorbers, Springs, Cables, Seat Belts, Drive Shaft, Steering System, CNG/LPG Kits, Cylinders, Ball Joints etc ).

End to End responsibility for Quality , Cost ,Delivery of the Component.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional: Knowledge of manufacturing processes – Casting, machining , Sheetmetal, Rubber molding & Assembly / Testing etc.

Zero based costing of components .

Supply Chain Management and Vendor Development.

Desirable: Knowledge of tools , jigs and fixture design and costing , TPM , IATF, PPAP , APQP, SAP.
