Job summary

New Horizon is seeking a capable Merchandising Manager to oversee the complete merchandising cycle from order confirmation to final dispatch in Haryana, India. You will coordinate with buyers on orders, specifications, samples, approvals, pricing and delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of textile merchandising, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete merchandising cycle from order confirmation to final dispatch
• Coordinate with buyers on orders, product specifications, samples, approvals, pricing, quantities and delivery schedules
• Prepare and monitor Order Sheets, T&A Calendars, Production Plans and Delivery Schedules
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Planning and Dispatch for smooth order execution
• Ensure timely availability of yarn, accessories, packing materials and other materials as per order requirements
• Monitor daily production progress against planned quantities and delivery dates
• Follow up on raw material availability, production status and order completion
• Coordinate for sample development, sample approvals, artwork, specifications and buyer requirements
• Monitor order status and identify potential delays, shortages and bottlenecks
• Handle buyer queries, complaints and order-related issues and ensure timely resolution
• Coordinate with costing team for product costing, quotations and price negotiations
• Ensure products manufactured according to buyer specs and quality standards
• Maintain records of orders, approvals, production status and communications
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly merchandising reports
• Track shipment and dispatch schedules to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain relationships with buyers and support development of new buyers
• Coordinate with buyers regarding product development and changes in specifications
• Lead, train and supervise the merchandising team
• Monitor merchandisers' performance and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Coordinate with management to resolve critical issues
• Ensure effective communication between buyers and internal departments
