Job summary

Electromech Infraproject Ltd. in Hyderabad, India, seeks an MEP Engineer for projects to oversee and execute MEP activities across Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, ELV, and related systems. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure on-time completion.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years in MEP project execution, with data center experience preferred, and strong drawing interpretation, documentation, and safety focus on site.

Qualifications

• BE/B Tech or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-8 years of experience in MEP project execution.
• Experience in Data Center Projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise MEP activities at project sites, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs and project schedules.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, ELV, and related systems.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specs, and identify issues before execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Designation: MEP Engineer- Projects

Reporting to: Sr. Manager- Projects

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise MEP activities at project sites, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, ELV, and associated systems.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones as per project requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and identify potential issues before execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and update project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with approved procedures.
• Manage manpower deployment, material planning, and resource allocation at site.
• Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and company safety policies.
• Track project quantities, material consumption, and support billing and measurement activities.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities and ensure successful project handover.
• Assist in resolving technical challenges and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
• Maintain project records, RFIs, inspection requests, work permits, and other site documentation.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for timely availability of materials and equipment.
• Support project close-out activities, snag rectification, and final documentation submission.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 3-8 years of experience in MEP project execution.
• Experience in Data Center Projects is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Electrical Systems, HVAC, Fire Fighting, ELV, UPS, DG, and Critical Infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of MEP project execution methodologies.
• Knowledge of Data Center standards and critical infrastructure environments.
• Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of quality control and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

IT Skills:

• MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Sound understanding of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel and relocate based on project requirements.
