Job summary

ImagicaaWorld Entertainment Limited in India seeks a hands-on MEP Engineer to manage and supervise Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and ELV works for fit-out projects.

Travel to multiple sites is expected; you will coordinate with civil and interior teams, ensure quality, safety and timely completion, and review drawings, shop drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of MEP execution experience in commercial, retail, hospitality or fit-out projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and ELV systems.
• Experience managing MEP, civil and interior contractors and multiple agencies.
• Ability to read MEP drawings, shop drawings, SLDs and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Position: MEP Engineer -Fit-Out Projects

Department: Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced MEP Engineer to manage and supervise MEP execution for multiple fit-out projects . across various locations in India.The role will be responsible for the execution, coordination, quality, safety and timely completion of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, ELV and related MEP works, along with coordination of civil and interior activities.

The candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel and consecutive site deployment of 2060 days.

Key Responsibilities:

MEP Project Execution

• Manage day-to-day execution of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, ELV and other MEP services.
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, quality standards and project timelines.
• Review drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications and identify discrepancies before execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of MEP works.
• Supervise testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.

Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise MEP contractors, subcontractors, technicians and site teams.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, interior, architectural and other services to avoid clashes and rework.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with consultants, design teams, vendors and project management teams.
• Ensure proper sequencing of MEP activities with overall fit-out works.

Electrical Works

• Supervise LT electrical distribution, DBs, panels, cabling, lighting and power distribution.
• Review SLDs, load schedules and electrical layouts.
• Ensure proper earthing, cable management and electrical safety.
• Coordinate emergency power, UPS and other electrical systems wherever applicable.

HVAC Works

• Supervise installation of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, diffusers, grilles and controls.
• Ensure HVAC installation is coordinated with architectural and interior layouts.
• Monitor testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Plumbing & Fire Fighting

• Supervise water supply, drainage, sanitary and plumbing installations.
• Monitor fire-fighting piping, hydrants, sprinklers and related equipment.
• Coordinate with fire consultants and authorities wherever required.
• Ensure pressure testing, flushing and commissioning of systems.

Fire Alarm & ELV

• Coordinate installation of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Networking, PA/BGM and other ELV systems.
• Review ELV/MEP shop drawings and ensure proper site execution.
• Coordinate MEP services with IT and ELV requirements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure MEP works comply with applicable Indian Standards, NBC, fire regulations and project specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and maintain inspection checklists.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Ensure contractors follow required safety practices at site.

Project Planning & Reporting

• Prepare and monitor MEP work schedules in coordination with the overall project programme.
• Track material requirements and coordinate with procurement teams.
• Monitor contractor progress and highlight delays or critical issues.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Support quantity verification, measurements and contractor billing certification.
• Maintain project documentation, as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records.
• Ensure timely closure of site observations and snags.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of relevant MEP execution experience, preferably in commercial, retail, hospitality, entertainment or fit-out projects.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and ELV systems.
• Experience in managing MEP, civil and interior contractors and multiple agencies.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, SLDs and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of BOQ, quantity verification and contractor billing.
