Sales Pune, PCMC, Solapur Full time Entry level
To independently manage an assigned territory, drive prescription generation and secondary sales through strong doctor and chemist relationships, and mentor junior team members while delivering consistent territory growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the assigned territory end-to-end, including doctor coverage, chemist servicing and distributor coordination.
- Achieve and exceed primary/secondary sales targets and market share objectives for the territory.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and high-prescribing doctors.
- Plan and execute effective tour programs (daily/weekly/monthly) with optimal doctor and chemist coverage.
- Analyze territory sales data, prescription trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with stockists/distributors to ensure adequate stock availability and minimize outstanding issues.
- Organize and support Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, RCPA (Retail Chemist Prescription Audit) and doctor engagement activities.
- Guide and mentor newly joined/fresher MRs on product knowledge and field practices where required.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor benchmarking and territory feedback to the ASM/RSM.
- Ensure full compliance with company SOPs, UCPMP guidelines and ethical promotion practices.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Territory sales growth (primary & secondary) versus target.
- Market share growth in focus products/therapy areas.
- Doctor coverage and call average versus plan.
- Distributor stock availability and reduction of expiry/returns.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Life Sciences; MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–6 years of proven pharmaceutical field sales experience with a consistent track record of target achievement.
- Strong existing doctor and chemist connect in the relevant therapy area/territory is preferred.
- Valid driving license and own two-wheeler for territory coverage.
- Strong product knowledge and clinical detailing skills.
- Proven negotiation, relationship management and territory planning abilities.
- Data-driven approach to sales planning (RCPA, prescription audits, territory analysis).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good reporting discipline and comfort with CRM/DCR mobile applications.
