Job summary

Alan Electronic Systems in Mumbai/Delhi NCR seeks a Medical Representative (MR) - Surgical with 1-5 years of field experience to drive product adoption in hospitals and surgical centres.

You will build relationships with surgeons, OT staff, and hospital procurement, conduct demonstrations, and coordinate with sales and clinical teams. A strong network in the surgical community and CRM reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of field experience in pharma, surgical disposables and medical devices.
• Established relationships with surgeons and hospital stakeholders.
• Regular access to hospital operating theatres is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Visit hospitals and surgical centres regularly within the assigned territory.
• Follow up with surgeons and hospital stakeholders to progress opportunities.
• Develop relationships with General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Urologists and other surgical specialists.
• Support product demonstrations, workshops and surgeon engagement activities.
• Map hospitals and surgeon networks to identify new accounts and opportunities.
• Capture leads and opportunities in CRM / SFDC with disciplined follow-up.

Job description

Position: Medical Representative (MR) - Surgical Experience: 1 - 5 years

Location: Mumbai and Delhi NCR

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit hospitals, nursing homes and surgical centres regularly within the assigned territory.
• Follow up consistently with surgeons and hospital stakeholders until opportunities progress to the appropriate sales stage.
• Develop relationships with General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Urologists and other relevant surgical specialists.
• Support product demonstrations, workshops, CMEs and surgeon-engagement activities.
• Build strong working relationships with OT staff, biomedical engineers, purchase teams and hospital administrators.
• Identify new surgeons, emerging hospitals and previously uncovered or dormant accounts.
• Map hospitals, surgeons, procedure volumes, installed equipment, competitor presence and potential opportunities.
• Capture customer interactions, leads and opportunities accurately in CRM / SFDC.
• Identify requirements for new equipment, replacement, upgrades and upcoming hospital or OT projects.
• Work closely with Territory Managers, channel partners and the ALAN team for opportunity conversion.
• Generate qualified leads and coordinate demonstrations with the sales and clinical application teams.
• Gather competitive intelligence on installations, products, pricing, customer feedback and market activity.

Qualification & Skills:

• 2 - 5 years of field experience in Pharma, surgical disposables, surgical consumables, medical devices or allied healthcare products.
• Existing relationships with General Surgeons, Gynaecologists and/or Urologists.
• Regular access to hospital OTs is mandatory.
• Comfortable meeting surgeons, OT staff, biomedical engineers, purchase teams and hospital administrators.
• Strong knowledge of hospitals and surgeon networks in the assigned territory.
• Ability to open new accounts and establish relationships independently.
• Comfort with CRM/mobile reporting and disciplined follow-up
