Job summary

Continental in Meerut is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to service Tire Curing and Final Finish lines. You will identify breakdowns, replace parts and drive repairs to keep production flowing and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

The role requires hands-on experience in tyre manufacturing, a mechanical background and strong adherence to 5S, safety and TPM practices on the shop floor. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Curing / Final Finish areas.
• Hands-on experience in tyre manufacturing processes, preferably in Curing and Final Finish operations.
• Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, troubleshooting and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on Tire Curing and Final Finish area.
• Identify breakdowns, change parts and repair/service repairable parts.
• Provide machine improvements to increase quality and production levels and to reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure high availability of machinery and perform preventive maintenance and machine tolerance checking.
• Report in detail work performed in PUMA-PM (work order confirmations, spare parts reservations, etc).
• Maintain 5S and keep the workplace clean and organized daily.
• Follow all safety rules per company norms, with awareness of ESH and use of LOTO.
• Ensure efficient use of energy, resources and waste management along with safety tasks.

Job description

Role & responsibilities-

Perform all type of maintenance & troubleshooting on Tire Curing and Final Finish area
Identify breakdowns, change parts and repair/service repairable parts.

Provide machine improvements in order to increase quality/production level and to reduce breakdowns
Ensure high grade of availability of the machinery

Perform preventive mainteance and machine tolerance checking as per machine reelased from production(Tire curing and Final Finish machines)
Identify the repaired parts and service for next usage

Report in detail performed work in PUMA-PM (work order confirmations, spare parts reservations, etc)

Maintain 5S and Keeping workplace clean and organized in a daily basis

Must follow all safety rules as per company norms.
He should have awareness about ESH. He should know the use of LOTO.
He should Ensure efficient use of Energy , Resources and Waste Management along with Safety tasks/responsibility.

Knowledge of mechanical maintenance of curing presses and DBM, TUG machines like MTC, VCL centering, Hydraulic & Pneumatic cylinders and actuators, Hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, Bearing and bush replacement and alignment, rotary joints, Pipe line maintenance of Pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam, lubrication of equipments including Pneumatic, hydraulic drawings reading.
Process knowledge (e.g. Inspection/Preventive procedures, machine-related knowledge, TPM)

Preferred candidate profile-

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in the Curing / Final Finish area.
• Hands-on experience in tyre manufacturing processes, preferably in Curing and Final Finish operations.
• Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, and plant operations.
