Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Mechanical (QA/QC) - NDT professional to conduct NDT testing and inspection for refinery projects. Candidates should have a Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering, with ASNT/NDT Level II certification. The role involves hands-on testing, report writing, and familiarity with standards. Qualifications

• ASNT / NDT Level II certification is required.

• This position is site-based.

Responsibilities

• Examine piping & steel structures by NDT testing.
• Stage-wise inspection of welding processes.
• Prepare WPS & PQS, set-up equipment, and conduct NDT tests.

Mechanical (QA/QC) -NDT

Job Description

• Examine Piping & Steel Structures by NDT Testing viz UT, MPT, LPT, VT. RT.
• Stage wise inspection of welding (fit up, root pass visual & NDT, final weld Visual & NDT)
• Preparation of WPS & PQS
• Set-up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests with appropriate NDT Techniques
• Material testing, interpret results and prepare reports on findings.
• Review pre heating & post heating effect.
• Mechanical Clearance & Hydro Testing of Loops
• Familiarity with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the NDT techniques.
• Has the skills and knowledge to conduct all of the above-mentioned functions plus the duties and responsibilities of the field.
• Provide required notification to appropriate safety management personnel.

Job Specification

• Person should be a Diploma/ Engineering Graduate in Mechanical.
• ASNT / NDT Level – II certification.
• Should have worked in Refinery/ Petrochemical Projects.
• Report writing skill and attention to detail.
• This is a site-based job.
