Job summary

Career Tree Hr Solutions is seeking a Quality NDT Inspector (Contract/Temporary) in Gujarat. The role involves UT inspections, weld quality checks, dimensional fit-up and final inspections of welded structures, and raising NCRs for non-conformances. Shifts are required, and SAP QM knowledge is advantageous.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and NDT Level II certification are essential, with 3–15 years of related experience desirable.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT/VT as per ASNT/ISO 9712 or ASNT-Level-II.
• Ready to work in all three shifts.
• Hands on experience in UT of welded structures and identifying weld defects.
• Inspect weld quality visually and with UT/MT/PT.
• Perform dimensional fit-up and final inspections of welded structures.
• Raise flags for non-conformance and process deviations.
• Promote stop-work and quality awareness on deviations.
• Familiar with component and assembly drawings.
• Identify productivity improvements from an inspection perspective.
• Prepare stagewise inspection checklists for components and assemblies.
• Raise NCRs for non-conformances.
• Coordinate with Shift Production Engineer on daily inspection priorities.
• Hands on experience with QM Module of SAP.

Responsibilities

• Carry out weld inspections and quality checks using Visual, UT, MT and PT.
• Ensure compliance with ASNT/ISO standards during inspections.
• Prepare stagewise checklists and raise NCRs as required.
• Coordinate daily inspection needs with production engineers.

Quality NDT Inspector (Contract/ Temporary)

Qualification : Diploma Mechanical Engineering

• NDT Level II in UT/PT/MT/VT as per ASNT/ISO 9712 or ASNT-Level-II
• Ready to work in all three shifts
• Hands on experience in usage of UT of welded structure and able to identify the weld defects.
• Carry out inspection of weld quality Visual ,UT, MT, & PT of Weld Joints.
• Should be able to do Dimensional Fit up inspections and Final inspections of welded structures.
• Raise flag for any non-conformance/process deviations
• Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
• Well convergent with component and assembly drawings
• Identify productivity improvement opportunities from Inspection perspective.
• Prepare stagewise Inspection checklist for components and assemblies
• Raise NCR when any non-conformance is noticed.
• Coordinate with Shift Production Engineer on daily inspection needs/priorities.
• Hands on experience on QM Module of SAP
