Job summary

MHC Conveying Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Howrah (Kolkata area) seeks a senior QA/QC leader to ensure all fabricated products meet customer specs and applicable codes. You will drive quality through welding, painting and dispatch activities, and coordinate inspections with customers and third parties.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in heavy fabrication QA/QC, with ASME IX, API 650, AWS D1.1 familiarity, NDT level II, and strong Excel skills, guiding cross-functional teams to on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in QA/QC for heavy fabrication.
• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP/ASNT/BGAS/NACE certifications preferred; NDT Level II UT/MT/LT/RT required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to review ITPs and QAPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete QA/QC function for fabrication, welding, painting and dispatch activities.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, ITPs and QAPs before production.
• Ensure compliance with ASME IX, API 650, AWS D1.1 and IS standards.
• Approve WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding documentation.
• Coordinate customer, consultant and third-party inspections.
• Plan and monitor NDT, PWHT, dimensional and painting inspections.
• Review and compile MDCC/MDR and final quality dossiers.
• Investigate NCRs, implement CAPA and drive root-cause analysis.
• Maintain calibration records for inspection instruments.
• Train production personnel on quality requirements and workmanship.
• Coordinate closely with Design, Production, Planning, Stores and Dispatch to ensure first-pass acceptance and on-time delivery.

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

NDT Level II UT, MT, LT, RT is required

CSWIP/ASNT/BGAS/NACE certifications preferred

Job Summary

Lead the Quality Assurance & Quality Control function to ensure all fabricated products comply with customer specifications, applicable codes and standards, while supporting timely execution and successful
customer inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor NDT, PWHT (where applicable), dimensional and painting inspections.

• Conduct supplier quality evaluations and incoming material verification.


• Train production personnel on quality requirements and workmanship.

Preferred Industry Experience

Heavy fabrication, structural steel, industrial ducting, pressure vessels, tanks, piping and process equipment. Experience executing EPC projects for L&T, Tata Projects, TCE, BHEL, NTPC, IOCL, JSW, Adani,
Vedanta or similar organizations will be preferred.
