Our work spans UAVs, UGVs, and intelligent robotic platforms designed for high-performance, mission-critical applications.We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (Level III/IV) to support the design, development, and validation of advanced mechanical systems for unmanned platforms. This role requires strong technical fundamentals, hands‑on engineering capability, and the ability to contribute effectively across the product lifecycle.
About the Role
As a core member of the mechanical engineering team, you will:
- Contribute to designing airframes, structural systems, payload integrations, and thermal/mechanical subsystems for UAVs and autonomous platforms
- Collaborate closely with aerodynamics, avionics, embedded systems, and manufacturing teams
- Deliver robust, lightweight, and high-performance engineering solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design of UAV structures, enclosures, mounts, and mechanical subsystems
- Assist in developing lightweight and high‑strength airframe components using advanced materials (composites, alloys, polymers)
- Perform CAD modelling and detailed engineering using tools like SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion 360
- Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)
Analysis & Validation
- Assist in conducting structural, thermal, and vibration analysis (FEA/CFD tools)
- Support validation through simulation, prototyping, and physical testing
- Ensure designs meet durability, fatigue, and environmental requirements
Prototype & Manufacturing Support
- Support prototype development, fabrication, and assembly
- Work with vendors and internal teams on machining, composites, and fabrication processes
- Support testing, iteration, and product refinement cycles
System Integration
- Assist in integrating payloads such as sensors, cameras, communication systems, and power units
- Collaborate with electronics and avionics teams for seamless system packaging
- Support proper weight distribution, balance, and aerodynamic efficiency
Ownership & Growth (III/IV Level)
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to documentation, engineering standards, and best practices
- Take ownership of assigned components or subsystems
- Continuously learn and contribute to product and technology improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–5+ years (Level III) / 4–8+ years (Level IV) experience in aerospace, robotics, or UAV systems
- Working knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion 360)
- Basic to intermediate experience with FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)
- Hands‑on exposure to prototyping, fabrication, and testing
- Understanding of materials, structural design, and manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAV/UAS, drones, or autonomous systems
- Knowledge of composites, carbon fiber structures, and lightweight design
- Exposure to defence or aerospace standards
- Experience in rapid prototyping and iterative product development
- Familiarity with robotics platforms (UGV/UAV/UAM)
