About the Role
As a member of the embedded systems team, you will:
- Develop embedded software for UAVs and autonomous systems including flight controllers and onboard systems
- Work closely with avionics, systems, and hardware teams
- Contribute to building reliable, real‑time, and high‑performance embedded solutions
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for UAV and robotic platforms
- Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code in C/C++
- Develop drivers and low‑level interfaces for sensors and hardware components
Hardware-Software Integration
- Interface with microcontrollers, processors, and peripheral devices
- Work with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet
- Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring‑up and system integration
Real-Time Systems & Optimization
- Develop and optimize real‑time embedded systems (RTOS or bare‑metal)
- Ensure deterministic performance, reliability, and low‑latency execution
- Optimize memory usage, processing efficiency, and power consumption
Testing & Debugging
- Debug embedded systems using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system validation
- Troubleshoot hardware-software interaction issues
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (systems, avionics, mechanical)
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Support rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5+ years (Level III) / 4–8+ years (Level IV) experience in embedded systems development
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Experience with microcontrollers, embedded Linux, or RTOS-based systems
- Understanding of hardware interfaces and communication protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAV/UAS, drones, or autonomous systems
- Familiarity with flight controllers and embedded flight stacks
- Knowledge of control systems, sensor integration, or robotics
- Experience with debugging tools and hardware bring‑up
