Job summary

Gefit Technologies in Maharashtra, India, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to translate customer RFQs into robust technical solutions. You will independently create concept and detailed designs using Autodesk Inventor, select third-party devices, and coordinate with suppliers.

You will prepare assembly drawings and 3D models with GD&T and manage BOMs through ERP, ensure designs stay within budget and schedule, and communicate effectively with clients, hardware, software, and production

Qualifications

• Experience in reading RFQ and turning it into technical solutions.
• Proficient in concept and detailed design using Autodesk Inventor.
• Ability to select third-party devices and communicate with suppliers.
• Experience creating GD&T 3D drawings and BOM via ERP.
• Ability to work within budget and quality targets.
• Strong communication with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Study customer RFQ/requirement and prepare the technical solution.
• Independently prepare concept/solution design and detailed design using Autodesk Inventor.
• Responsible for selection of third-party devices and communication with suppliers.
• Prepare DAP drawing, cycle time sheet, cycle description, and layout.
• Prepare assembly drawings and 3D drawings with GD&T and BOM through ERP.
• Optimize and ensure high-quality machine design within budget.
• Independently solve technical difficulties in the project.
• Involve in design approval process with customers.
• Communicate mechanical points to clients clearly.
• Communicate mechanical concepts to hardware, software, and assembly teams.
• Budget control and adherence to budget as designated by Sales Engineer.
• Co-operate with department manager and other teams.
• Provide technical support to PM, Procurement, Production, etc.

Role & responsibilities

• Study of customer RFQ/requirement and Prepare the Technical Solution.

• Responsible for selection of third-party devices and special equipment according to machine process and communication with Supplier.
• Responsible for DAP Drawing, cycle time sheet and Cycle description, Layout.
• Preparation of Assembly drawings, Part 3D drawings with GD&T and Bill of Materials through ERP.
• Optimized and good-quality machine design within budget.
• Independently solve technical difficulties in the project.
• Involve in Design Approval Process with customers.
• Ability to communicate the mechanical points with the clients.
• Ability to communicate the mechanical concepts to hardware engineers, software engineers, and assembly personnel.
• Budget control- Understanding the mechanical engineering costs during Engineer phase and abiding by the budget requirements as designated by Sales Engineer.
• Co-operating with the department Manager as well as other relevant department team.
• Effectively providing technical support to the PM, the Procurement Dept. the Production Dept. etc
