Job summary

SCHLIFF MASCHINEN FBRIK is seeking an experienced design engineer to develop detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software, and to support manufacturing through design for sheet metal parts.

You will ensure GD&T compliance, manage BOMs in PDM/PLM, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive robust product designs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
• 15 years of hands-on experience in product or component design.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (Sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining).
• Basic excellence in mathematics and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Drafting: Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and high-quality 2D engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Design for Manufacturing : Having basic knowledge of Sheet metal parts drafting .
• Tolerance : Apply GD&T principles to ensure proper fit, function, and stack-up clearance for all parts.
• Documentation: Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and log design changes through PDM/PLM systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
• Experience: 15 years] of hands-on experience in product or component design.
• Software Tools: Proficiency in CAD software such as [SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD].
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes ( Sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining).
• Analytical Skills: Basic excellence in mathematics
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-engineering teams.
