Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4+ years to design, model, and document mechanical components and assemblies, leading design from concept to final release and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, manage BOMs and ECNs in ENOVIA and ERP environments, and apply DFM/DFA best practices for molding, stamping, casting, welding, and soldering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and product development.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (2018+) and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ENOVIA or similar PLM systems and ERP integration.
• Working knowledge of Creo Parametric is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of molding, stamping, casting, welding, and soldering processes.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4 years of hands-on experience to design, model, and document mechanical components and assemblies. In this role, you will lead component design from concept through final release, ensuring full compliance with manufacturing standards and seamless integration into our enterprise PLM/ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & 2D Drafting: Create robust 3D parametric models, complex sub-assemblies, and production-ready 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD according to drafting standards (GD&T / ASME Y14.5).
• PLM/ERP Release: Manage multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECOs), and drive component lifecycle release in ENOVIA and ERP environments.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA): Design components optimized for injection molding, sheet metal stamping, casting, welding, and soldering operations.
• Requirements & Prototyping: Gather design requirements, perform conceptual modeling, complete stack-up analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve manufacturing feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and product development.
• Primary CAD: High proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (2018 or newer) and AutoCAD.
• PLM Systems: Hands-on experience with ENOVIA (or similar PLM platforms) and ERP integration.
• Secondary CAD (Plus): Working knowledge of PTC Creo Parametric is a strong advantage.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of molding, stamping, casting, welding, and soldering processes.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering, production, and supplier teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience handling legacy drawing migrations and cross-platform multi-CAD data conversions.
