Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedDesign Engineerwith a strong background inAutoCAD to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D designs, developing prototypes, and supporting manufacturing and R&D efforts by delivering precise engineering drawings and design documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, update, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using AutoCAD.
• Develop design concepts and convert them into engineering models and detailed technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure feasibility, functionality, and cost-effectiveness of designs.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Revise and improve existing designs to enhance performance, reliability, or manufacturability.
• Ensure adherence to design standards, industry codes, and internal quality processes.
• Maintain design documentation and version control in the PLM or document management system.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into the final designs.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• 3+ yearsof hands‑on experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, drafting standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Proficiency in creating manufacturing‑ready drawings, BOMs, and 3D assemblies.
• Good understanding of materials, machining processes, and manufacturing constraints.
• Experience with simulation tools (FEA, stress analysis) is a plus.
