Job summary

Octillion Power Systems in Pune is seeking a Product Design and Development engineer to handle benchmarking, new product development, documentation, drawings, 3D modelling, and drafting. You will work on top-down or bottom-up assembly modelling and ensure GD&T and ASME Y14.5 compliance.

The role involves pre- and post-processing for simulations, BTMS and structural durability simulations for battery packs, interfacing with vehicle components, design reviews, DFMEA, homologation with AIS

Responsibilities

• Benchmarking & Concept Development.
• New product Development and documentation related to NPD.
• Product designing, Drawings, 3D modelling, Drafting, Assembly modelling, detailed. engineering and assembling using top-down or bottom-up.
• Understanding of GD & T and ASME Y14.5
• Responsible for Pre-processing and Post processing for simulation activities.
• Responsible for BTMS and structural durability simulations for Battery pack.
• Interfacing with vehicle components.
• Understanding of the Battery Management system and Manufacturing process and RCA for any failures in part, product or process.
• Responsible for Design, Design review and DFMEA review.
• Complying with the homologation & AIS Standards.
• Organizing proto development and testing.
• Support development of parts In-house or at supplier end for localization.
• Support in testing of the parts at supplier or in-house or at external agencies.
• Product optimization to continuously improve battery systems performance.
• Closely monitor current industry trends, benchmark competitive products and technologies.
