Position: Manufacturing Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Design Engineer to support product design, manufacturing optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical design expertise, a solid understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes, and hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to improve product manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing projects.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Sourcing, NPD, and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient product realization.
- Review and optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and ease of assembly (DFA).
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and technical records.
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Resolve manufacturing and design-related issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, and implementation of design changes.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to production teams and assist with customer or site-related engineering requirements when necessary.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or industrial equipment design industries.
