Job summary

ABHI FINE PRODUCTS in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, seeks a skilled Design Engineer to support the design and manufacturing process. The role focuses on creating manufacturable CAD designs and collaborating with production teams.

Candidates should have 1–5 years of design engineering experience, a BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA. You will work under the Design Head and contribute to BOMs, DFMs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1 to 5+ years) in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).
• Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Interpret customer specifications, standards, and requirements to develop accurate design solutions.
• Perform design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).

• Support prototyping, testing, and pilot production activities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to address product development and process improvement.
