Role Overview

As the Warehouse Manager at Swiss Beauty, you will be the absolute custodian of our fulfilment hub. You will own the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse—spanning inbound logistics, inventory management, put‑away, high‑speed picking/packing, and outbound logistics across B2C (D2C/marketplaces) and B2B channels. Your primary focus will be to maximise spatial efficiency, ensure 100% inventory accuracy, uphold rigorous safety and cosmetic storage standards, and scale operational capacity smoothly during high‑demand promotional events.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Inbound, Outbound & Facility Operations

• Oversee all daily warehouse floor operations: receiving, sorting, cross‑docking, put‑away, inventory counting, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure that all outbound shipments conform to the strict packaging guidelines of distinct e‑commerce platforms (e.g., Nykaa, Amazon, Myntra) to eliminate vendor chargebacks.
• Optimize the physical layout of the warehouse, zoning fast‑moving SKUs to minimise pick paths and improve overall throughput.
• Maintain optimal warehouse conditions specific to cosmetics, including temperature control monitoring to protect product integrity.

2. Inventory Hygiene & Expiry Tracking

• Maintain near‑perfect inventory accuracy (>99%) via organized cycle counts, wall‑to‑wall physical audits, and immediate system updates.
• Strictly implement and monitor FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) pick protocols to avoid inventory write‑offs due to shelf‑life expiration.
• Manage the end‑to‑end processing and reconciliation of Return to Origin (RTO) and customer returns, establishing strict QC checks to segregate resalable stock from damaged goods.

3. WMS Systems & Technology Optimization

• Act as the super‑user for the digital Warehouse Management System (WMS) or native ERP warehouse modules.
• Identify tech‑driven bottlenecks on the warehouse floor and work with the IT/Systems team to deploy layout or barcode scanning improvements.

4. Workforce Management, Safety & Compliance

• Directly manage, train, and motivate warehouse supervisors, data operators, and contractual labour forces, fostering a high‑productivity, low‑attrition environment.
• Ensure absolute compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, fire safety protocols, and general facility security.
• Manage third‑party labour contractors, optimising workforce strength dynamically to align with forecast sale volumes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Despatch accuracy- 99.8 %
• Delivery accuracy- 99.75 %
• Inventory Accuracy: Maintain a minimum of 99.5% systemic‑to‑physical inventory alignment.
• Order Picking/Packing Accuracy: Zero‑defect goal on wrong items or missing items shipped.
• Cost per Order (CPO) / Cost per Unit (CPU): Minimising variable overheads, packaging waste, and spatial costs.
• Throughput/Capacity Utilisation: Maximising the number of units handled per square foot per day during peak operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 5–8 years of experience running large‑scale fulfilment operations. Mandatory preference for candidates with strong backgrounds in E‑commerce fulfilment hubs, FMCG, Beauty/Cosmetics, or Retail.
• Technical Skill Set: Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Solid data analysis skills using MS Excel to monitor capacities, dispatch volumes, and labour efficiencies.
