Job summary

Delhivery in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India is seeking an operations supervisor to oversee manpower planning, shift rostering and productivity targets across the floor. You will ensure SOP compliance, 5S standards and upkeep of the facility while coordinating with commercial, security, fleet and last mile teams.

The role focuses on driving inbound, outbound, floor operations and quality metrics, mentoring team members and pursuing lean process improvements with Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma practices

Responsibilities

• Manage manpower planning and shift rostering to meet load projections and productivity targets.
• Ensure SOP compliance, 5S, and upkeep of the facility.
• Monitor vehicle connections, availability and timely unloading/loading.
• Plan ad-hoc vehicle requirements and coordinate with fleet.
• Maintain service levels and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (commercial, security, fleet, last mile).
• Drive metrics across inbound, outbound, floor ops and quality metrics.
• HR KRAs: diversity hiring, morale, safety on the floor.
• Mentor team and build capabilities.
• Pursue process improvements and drive to closure.
• Implement shop floor methods such as Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma.

Role & responsibilities

• Manages the manpower planning & shift rostering as per the load projections and productivity targets.
• Compliance to the SOPs, facility 5S and overall upkeep of the facilities.
• Monitoring vehicle connections, availability and ensuring timely unloading/loading of vehicles. (metrics)
• Plan ad-hoc vehicle requirements based on load profile and coordinate with fleet.
• Maintaining the service levels and ensuring the performance metrics.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with different teams (such as commercial, security, fleet, last mile).
• Driving the metrics in their respective functions (inbound operations, outbound operations, floor operations, quality metrics, first mile metrics).
• HR/Employee related KRAs Diversity Hiring, Maintaining Employee Morale, Employee safety on the floor
• Mentors and works toward capability building of the team members
• Continuously explores process improvement opportunities and drives them to closure
• Implement industry best practices of shop floor management - Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma etc.
