Job summary

PGP Glass Ltd. in Gujarat invites a seasoned Manager/Sr. Manager - Instrumentation to lead the hot end instrumentation, with 12-15 years of experience, based in Jambusar near Vadodara.

You will drive PM programs, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, coordinate with contractors, train team, and ensure minimal production loss through robust instrumentation control.

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of instrumentation experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of hot end instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA software such as Rockwell, Siemens and Snider.

Responsibilities

• Reduce production loss due to instrumentation related breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot IS machines including Sanjin/Emhart/Bottero/BDF.
• Support PLC & SCADA software changes (Rockwell, Siemens, Snider).
• Execute PM system and calibration for assigned area.
• IMS activities and training of engineers/technicians.
• Coordinate with contractors for permits and shutdowns.
• Update MIS and support Parivartan team; manage material in SAP.

Job description

Designation : Manager/Sr. Manager - Instrumentation

Location : Jambusar (Near Vadodara), Gujarat

Experience : 12 to 15 years

Key Roles/Responsibilities: – Manager /Sr Manager Hot End Instrumentation

1. Reduce production loss due to instrumentation related breakdowns.
2. Good Knowledge and troubleshooting of Sanjin/Emhart /Bottero/BDF IS machine
3. Good Knowledge and Troubleshooting of Sheppe/BDF/Sanjin/Pannekamp Stacker
4. Troubleshooting of Batching control system Zippe/Trans weigh/Eliar
5. Trouble shooting and good knowledge of Furnace control system with Electric boosting Horn
6. Trouble shooting and Good knowledge of FH and Distributor control system
7. Control Stores & Spares and R & M for instrument de
8. To Execute PM system & Calibration of allotted area
9. To Execute IMS activities on regular basis
10. To carry out PLC & SCADA software modification. Like Rockwell ,siemens ,Snider
11. Project related activities and modifications as and when required
12. To Provide internal training of department Engineer and Technician
13. Coordination with Contractor for work permit assign Jobs
14. Work Distribution for PM, Abnormality, Parivartan activity, new jobs, To Check and Verify Preventive Maintenance activity of allotted Plant area Equipment’s
15. To arrange for identifying and remove critical abnormalities of allotted Plant Area
16. AET MIS Updating and support to Parivartan team
17. To make PR for required material and arrange for approval from Level 1 & Level 2 Approval
18. To check all received material in store and Update usage decision in SAP
19. To support The Production Team during Product change
20. To Take back up of Plant PLC and SCADA of allotted area on regular Interval
21. To Monitor S&S consumption within Budget and critical spare Inventory
22. To execute FIP and kaizen Project with team
23. To Coordinate with Contractor and arrange Require Manpower during Shutdown
24. To Prepare the shift schedule for department Team and arrange required manpower
25. Attendance approval and Daily contract Manpower arrangement
26. To check and Monitor Lehr/ Misc. NG consumption and If any deviation on reading to get corrective action on it, To check 265 HP/LP flow Meter consumption and system health, Monitor the MCB temp correction Online of 265 TPD, Monitor the 265 FCR/BH/IS PC health status
27. Plant round of Critical Equipment CCR/FCR/BH control room of allotted Plant area, To Verified Calibration of Pyrometer, Transmitter, Gauges of daily schedule shop floor with Internal customer
28. Make service entry in SAP for service work and arrange to send Received service Invoice to account department with approval from HOD
