Job summary

Navin Fluorine International is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for maintenance and project activities in a chemical/petrochemical setting. You will handle breakdowns on controllers, flow meters, level and pressure instruments, and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance per ISO.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation with 10–15 years in maintenance and projects in chemical/petrochemical/pharma plants.
• Hands-on programming and fault-finding in DCS/SCADA/ PLC and field instruments (Flow, Level, Pressure, Temp).
• Familiar with ISO documentation, safety permits, SAP in maintenance and IMS modules.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdown jobs on instruments like controllers, flow meters, level, temperature, pressure devices; repair and service.
• Calibrate and perform preventive maintenance; maintain ISO-compliant records.
• Erection and commissioning of small modification projects; plan work with engineers.
• Hands-on SAP and DCS experience; support PLC programming and fault finding.
• Collect daily reports from engineers, plan schedules, IMS tasks, manage inventory and documents.
• Develop instrument data sheets, JB, air header, cable schedules and related diagrams; assist zone classification.
• Knowledge of SAP maintenance modules; familiarity with ABB/Yokogawa DCS and AB/Siemens/Schneider PLC.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for attending breakdown jobs on instrument like controller, flow meter Magnetic, Vortex, Orifice type, Mass. Level instrument- Radar, Magnetic float operated. Temperature and pressure measuring instrument. Control Valve, Weigh scale, Control system of Burner, Boiler, Chilling compressor, etc.
• Calibration and preventive maintenance of Instrument and maintaining records as per ISO.
• Erection and commissioning of small modification job/ projects.
• Hands on experience and knowledge on SAP and DCS for all the works.
• Should take the Daily reports from Engineers and plan their job schedule, shift duties, IMS schedule, Maintain daily report, monthly report, inventory, spare for the plants, maintain documents of plants, specifications of instruments like its DQ/IQ/PQ/OQ, budget.
• Should have knowledge of Project work like Instrument Data sheet, JB Schedule, Air Header Schedule, Cable Schedule, Hook Up Diagrams, Cable Tray and Cable Specifications, Zone Grouping for Explosive areas.
• Knowledge of SAP is must. Preferable Make of DCS (ABB/ YOKOGAWA) and PLC (AB, Siemens, Schneider)

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should be B.E or B. Tech (Instrumentation) with minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in Maintenance and Project activity of Instrumentation dept. of Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Pharmaceutical plant.
• Having hands on experience in programming and fault finding of DCS, SCADA /PLC, different type of field measuring instruments for process like Flow, Level, Pressure/ Vacuum, Weigh Scale, Weigh Bridge, Analyzers and Temperature. Control system of Boiler, Burner, Chilling compressor, etc.
• Familiar with Safety permit system, ISO documentation work.
• SAP Knowledge is must related to All Maintenance Module and IMS including Project Module
