Job description

Role & responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end HR operations for the plant, including employee relations, workforce management, time office, payroll coordination, and HR administration.
  • Build and maintain positive employee relations across management, staff, and blue-collar workforce.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances effectively and ensure timely resolution.
  • Drive employee communication, engagement, involvement, and welfare initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and company policies related to plant operations.
  • Manage and monitor statutory compliances, registers, records, licenses, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and independently liaise with government authorities and labour officials on relevant matters.
  • Support and coordinate internal and external HR audits.
  • Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Identify training and development needs for management, staff, and blue-collar employees.
  • Plan and coordinate technical, behavioural, safety, and functional training programs.
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee capabilities, productivity, and performance.
  • Drive and support plant improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Quality Circles, and other continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive employee welfare initiatives, particularly for the blue-collar workforce.
  • Ensure implementation of employee health and safety requirements in coordination with EHS teams.
  • Support initiatives that improve employee well-being and workplace standards.
  • Develop strong partnerships with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Finance, Administration, and other plant functions.
  • Act as an HR business partner to plant leadership and functional heads.
  • Provide HR inputs and support for workforce planning, organizational requirements, and employee-related matters.

  • Strong knowledge of plant HR operations and employee relations.
  • Good understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle government/labour authorities.
  • Knowledge of HR audits, time office, payroll, training, and employee engagement.
