Job summary

Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Limited is seeking a senior professional to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across all diagnostics centers, laboratories, and collection sites. You will drive procurement strategies, forecasting, and vendor management to ensure uninterrupted reagent and equipment supply.

Responsible for inventory optimization, contract negotiations, KPI monitoring, and SAP/ERP-driven digital procurement initiatives while ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency across

• Experience in healthcare supply chain management and procurement across multiple centers.
• Ability to lead demand forecasting, procurement planning, and vendor management.
• Strong inventory control, stock optimization, and KPI monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across diagnostic centers, laboratories, and collection centers.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted availability of reagents, kits, and equipment.
• Drive forecasting and procurement planning based on volumes and trends.
• Optimize inventory levels with stock planning, replenishment, and cycle counting.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and manage SLAs, contracts, and pricing.
• Monitor vendor performance with defined KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with operations, finance, and regional teams for business continuity.
• Implement cost optimization while maintaining quality and turnaround times.
• Ensure compliance with NABL, NABH, ISO, and internal policies.
• Oversee warehouse operations, stock reconciliation, and expiry management.
• Lead logistics for inter-branch transfers and centralized warehousing.
• Develop dashboards and MIS reports for procurement performance and savings.
• Drive ERP/SAP-based digital transformation and barcode systems.
• Mentor the supply chain team and support expansion initiatives.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across all diagnostic centers, laboratories, hospitals, and collection centers.


• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure uninterrupted availability of laboratory reagents, consumables, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies.


• Drive demand forecasting and procurement planning based on business volumes, testing trends, and operational requirements.


• Optimize inventory levels through effective stock planning, replenishment strategies, and inventory control mechanisms.


• Ensure timely procurement of critical laboratory reagents, kits, consumables, and medical devices without compromising quality and compliance.


• Establish strong vendor relationships and negotiate commercial terms, contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.


• Monitor vendor performance through defined KPIs and ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and responsiveness.


• Coordinate with laboratory operations, biomedical engineering, finance, facility management, and regional operations to support business continuity.


• Implement cost optimization initiatives without impacting quality, turnaround time, or patient services.


• Ensure compliance with NABL, NABH, ISO, statutory regulations, and internal procurement policies.


• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory audits, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and material movement across locations.


• Monitor expiry management, batch traceability, cold chain logistics, and storage conditions for temperature-sensitive materials.


• Lead logistics planning for inter-branch transfers, emergency supplies, and centralized warehouse operations.


• Analyze procurement and inventory data to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.


• Develop dashboards and MIS reports to monitor procurement performance, inventory ageing, stock availability, and cost savings.


• Drive digital transformation initiatives through ERP, SAP, inventory automation, barcode systems, and supply chain analytics.


• Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team while promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement.


• Collaborate with senior leadership to support business expansion, new center launches, and strategic sourcing initiatives.


• Ensure adherence to budgetary controls while maximizing procurement efficiency and working capital optimization.


• Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
