Role Overview

Manager - Diagnostic Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and managing supply chain operations related to diagnostic services, laboratory materials, medical consumables, and equipment. The role involves inventory planning, procurement coordination, vendor management, logistics supervision, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of diagnostic supplies across departments and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations for diagnostic and laboratory services.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of diagnostic materials, reagents, kits, consumables, and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability across diagnostic departments.
• Coordinate with procurement, laboratory, warehouse, logistics, and operations teams for smooth workflow management.
• Develop inventory control strategies to minimize shortages, wastage, and excess stock.
• Monitor stock movement, consumption patterns, and material utilization regularly.
• Handle vendor management activities including negotiations, performance evaluation, and supply coordination.
• Ensure timely processing of purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory replenishment activities.
• Conduct regular stock verification, audits, and inventory reconciliation processes.
• Monitor expiry management and ensure proper handling of near-expiry diagnostic materials.
• Prepare and analyze supply chain MIS reports, inventory reports, and operational performance data.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to diagnostic supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance and servicing schedules for diagnostic equipment when required.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and cost control.
• Manage logistics and distribution of diagnostic supplies across departments or branches.
• Ensure proper storage conditions and handling practices for sensitive diagnostic materials.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams for budgeting and cost optimization activities.
• Support implementation of ERP systems and supply chain process automation initiatives.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement programs, and operational review meetings.
• Train and supervise store, inventory, and supply chain staff when required.
