Job summary

Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Limited seeks a senior supply chain leader to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple diagnostic sites. The role focuses on ensuring uninterrupted availability of reagents, equipment, and consumables, while driving procurement strategy, vendor management, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities include demand forecasting, inventory optimization, contract negotiations, and ensuring NABL/NABH/ISO compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading end-to-end supply chain in healthcare.
  • Proven ability to develop procurement strategies and manage vendors.
  • Strong cost optimization and budget management.
  • Experience with NABL/NABH compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain across all diagnostic centres, laboratories, hospitals, and collection centres.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure uninterrupted availability of laboratory reagents, consumables, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies.
  • Drive demand forecasting and procurement planning based on business volumes, testing trends, and operational requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels through effective stock planning, replenishment strategies, and inventory control mechanisms.
  • Ensure timely procurement of critical laboratory reagents, kits, consumables, and medical devices without compromising quality and compliance.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships and negotiate commercial terms, contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance through defined KPIs and ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with laboratory operations, biomedical engineering, finance, facility management, and regional operations to support business continuity.
  • Implement cost optimization initiatives without impacting quality, turnaround time, or patient services.
  • Ensure compliance with NABL, NABH, ISO, statutory regulations, and internal procurement policies.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, inventory audits, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and material movement across locations.
  • Monitor expiry management, batch traceability, cold chain logistics, and storage conditions for temperature-sensitive materials.
  • Lead logistics planning for inter-branch transfers, emergency supplies, and centralized warehouse operations.
  • Analyze procurement and inventory data to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and MIS reports to monitor procurement performance, inventory ageing, stock availability, and cost savings.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through ERP, SAP, inventory automation, barcode systems, and supply chain analytics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team while promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support business expansion, new centre launches, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary controls while maximizing procurement efficiency and working capital optimization.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
