Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Maintenance Head for its chemical plant at Sachin - Surat. The role requires 10-15 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical and instrument maintenance within a chemical setting.

You will lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability. You will oversee planning, scheduling, shutdowns and RCA-based improvements, while managing teams, spares, contractors and budget.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical engineering is required.
• 10-15 years of experience in chemical plant maintenance are expected.
• Experience in handling electrical, instrumentation and utility systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utility maintenance of the chemical plant.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Lead plant shutdowns, overhauls and maintenance projects.
• Conduct RCA and implement corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance manpower, spares, contractors and budget.
• Ensure safety and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, EHS, Projects and Purchase departments.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR and costs.

Responsibilities:

• Handle overall Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Utility maintenance of the chemical plant.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize plant downtime.
• Handle maintenance of reactors, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, dryers, boilers, chillers and other plant utilities.
• Lead plant shutdown, equipment overhauling and maintenance projects.
• Conduct breakdown analysis, RCA and implement corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance manpower, spares, contractors and maintenance budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, EHS, Projects and Purchase departments.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance cost.
