Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Maintenance Executive in Jhagadia - Ankleshwar to maintain plant machinery and utilities. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in chemical environments and a BE/BTech in Mechanical.

You will plan preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards. This position is based in Gujarat and offers up to 5 LPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in chemical plants.
• Strong troubleshooting of pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and electrical systems.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Troubleshoot pumps, reactors, agitators, compressors, gearboxes, and valves.
• Coordinate with production and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Monitor schedules, spare parts, and maintenance records.
• Ensure boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and DG sets work properly.
• Follow permit-to-work and safety standards; coordinate with contractors.
• Document preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and equipment history.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, utilities and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, agitators, gearboxes, reactors, valves and pipelines.
• Coordinate with production and utility teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor maintenance schedules, spare parts and maintenance records.
• Ensure proper functioning of plant utilities such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors and DG sets.
• Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems and chemical plant safety standards during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and servicing work.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation related to preventive maintenance, breakdowns, inspections and equipment history.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with pumps, reactors, agitators, compressors, gearboxes and other process equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Good understanding of plant safety procedures and maintenance practices.
• Ability to handle maintenance activities independently and coordinate with production teams.
