Job summary

Growth For Impact in Palwal is seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead for solar module manufacturing. You will oversee smooth operation and maintenance of all production machinery, drive preventive maintenance, and manage spares and records to support uninterrupted output.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo and PLC issues, coordinate with OEMs, train technicians, implement 5S and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering relevant to maintenance.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, especially in solar manufacturing.
• Hands-on capability with electromechanical systems and automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain solar module manufacturing machinery and automation lines.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and handle breakdowns.
• Maintain spares inventory and maintenance records.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo, and PLC issues.
• Coordinate with OEMs for servicing and AMC activities.
• Prepare maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Monitor utility systems and electrical panels.
• Lead maintenance technicians and allocate shifts.
• Train team on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety, EHS compliance, and 5S implementation.

Job description

ROLE

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all solar module manufacturing machinery
• Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities
• Maintain critical spares inventory and machine maintenance records
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo, and PLC-related issues
• Handle calibration and alignment of machines
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for machine servicing and AMC activities
• Prepare maintenance schedules and SOPs
• Monitor utility systems including compressors, chillers, vacuum pumps, and electrical panels
• Lead and manage maintenance technicians and engineers
• Allocate shifts and maintenance tasks effectively
• Train team members on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices
• Ensure discipline and adherence to safety standards
• Ensure safe maintenance practices and compliance with EHS standards
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance requirements
• Support implementation of 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in industrial maintenance
• At least 5+ years in Solar Module Manufacturing Industry
• Strong hands-on experience with Stringer maintenance, Laminator maintenance, and Framing machine maintenance
• Experience in automated production lines is mandatory
• Knowledge of MES/SCADA systems
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical breakdowns
