Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on maintenance of industrial machinery in PV module production environments.
• Experience with stringer, framing, and lamination machines.
• Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints; familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team: scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs for PV production equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance operations within our solar panel manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous, efficient, and safe operation of high-precision production equipment, including stringers, framing machines, and lamination systems. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, minimizing equipment downtime, and driving operational excellence across the production floor. With a strong technical background and leadership acumen, this individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining production throughput, improving equipment reliability, and supporting the company’s mission to deliver high-quality solar modules at scale. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic planning and team leadership to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring effective scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs for stringer, framing, and lamination machines.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company-specific maintenance protocols.
  
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  
• Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement processes for critical components.
  
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and increase production efficiency.
  
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during equipment installation, commissioning, and process changes.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial machinery, with a focus on solar panel manufacturing equipment.
  
• Proven expertise in the maintenance and troubleshooting of stringer, framing, and lamination machines used in PV module production.
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in high-speed manufacturing environments.
  
• Experience with CMMS software and digital maintenance tracking tools.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance teams, manage work orders, and drive operational improvements.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production setting.
  
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
  
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift rotations, as required by production demands.
