Job summary

NextGen Tooling Solution in Chennai is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines to manufacture and repair injection mold components according to engineering drawings. You will interpret blueprints, select tooling, and ensure tight tolerances in finished parts.

On-site, full-time role with collaboration with engineers and toolmakers to optimize processes, perform routine checks, maintain a clean work area, and document work for quality and traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience with milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and basic CNC setup and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications with strong measurement and inspection skills.
• Knowledge of injection mold components, tooling practices, and general manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of shop safety procedures, safe machine operation, and proper handling of tools and materials.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Capability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams, and to communicate clearly in both written and spoken form.
• Willingness to learn new machining techniques, adapt to updated processes, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role based in Chennai. The Machinist is expected to follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work area, and document work performed to support quality and traceability.
