Job summary

Amritha Tool Crafts Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India, seeks an experienced CNC Shop Supervisor to oversee day-to-day milling/machine shop operations and allocate jobs based on priority and machine availability.

You will monitor machine performance, ensure proper setup, tool selection, offsets, and cutting parameters, and coordinate with programmers, tool design, EDM, and quality teams. 3–6 years of hands-on CNC experience and GD&T reading are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in CNC machining/manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances/GD&T.
• Tool-room, injection mould or precision machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the CNC Milling/Machine Shop.
• Plan and allocate jobs to CNC machines based on priority, delivery schedule and machine availability.
• Monitor CNC machine operations, job progress and machine utilization.
• Ensure proper machine setup, work holding, tool selection, offsets and cutting parameters.
• Read and understand 2D drawings, 3D models and machining requirements.
• Supervise machining of mould components, inserts, electrodes, mould bases and precision components.
• Ensure components are produced within specified dimensions, tolerances and surface-finish requirements.
• Coordinate with CNC programmers, tool design, EDM, wire-cut, grinding, assembly and quality teams.
• Identify and resolve machining problems such as tool breakage, dimensional deviations, improper setups and machining errors.
• Check first-piece/in-process inspection results and coordinate corrections where required.
• Monitor rejection, rework, machine downtime and productivity.
• Maintain daily production/job status reports.
• Ensure proper use and management of cutting tools, fixtures and consumables.
• Guide and train CNC operators and junior machinists.
• Maintain 5S, housekeeping, safety and discipline on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure jobs are completed as per planned delivery dates.
• Support continuous improvement in productivity, quality and machining processes.

Requirements:

• Candidates with hands-on CNC experience who have progressed into a supervisory role are preferred.
