Durucooperation in India seeks a skilled Lathe and Milling Machine Operator to run conventional lathe and milling machines for manufacturing precision parts and components. You will set tools, read drawings, and maintain tolerances while ensuring quality and safety.
The role requires hands-on experience (3–5 years) and formal training (ITI or Diploma preferred). Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and knowledge of various metals is essential.
We are looking for a skilled Lathe & Milling Machine Operator to operate conventional lathe and milling machines for manufacturing and maintenance of machine components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and precision parts. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in machine setting, tool selection, machining operations, measurements, and engineering drawing interpretation.
Operate conventional lathe and milling machines for component manufacturing.
Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, chamfering, milling, slotting, and keyway operations.
Set and align workpieces, cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices accurately.
Select suitable cutting tools and set appropriate RPM, feed, and depth of cut.
Manufacture shafts, bushes, rollers, pins, spacers, couplings, jigs, fixtures, dies, tooling, and machine components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
Inspect components using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Depth Gauges, and other precision instruments.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, required tolerances, and surface finish while minimizing rejection and rework.
Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and report abnormalities.
Complete machining jobs as per production priorities while maintaining safety, housekeeping, and proper tool handling.
3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Lathe & Milling Machine operation.
ITI in Machinist / Turner / Fitter preferred.
Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of conventional lathe and milling operations.
Ability to read engineering drawings and work with close dimensional tolerances.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of machining different materials including stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and brass.
Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and machine-setting issues.
