Job summary

Bishan Saini is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate FANUC CNC/VMC machines, perform setups, and verify offsets. The role requires reading engineering drawings, selecting tools, and ensuring dimensional accuracy through first-piece and in-process inspections.

The candidate should understand tolerances, wear reporting, and maintain machine cleanliness according to safety standards. This is an on-site position in Delhi, India.

Qualifications

• Proficient with FANUC CNC/VMC machines and basic control codes (G/M codes).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
• Knowledge of tool offsets and work offsets for accurate setup.
• Capable of selecting cutting tools and setting RPM/feeds.
• Good measurement and inspection skills using standard instruments.
• Basic CNC troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set FANUC CNC/VMC machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform job setting, fixture/vice setting, tool setting and work offset setting.
• Set and verify G54/G55 work offsets and tool offsets.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Read CNC programs and make basic program/offset corrections when required.
• Select suitable cutting tools and basic machining parameters.
• Monitor machining operations, tool condition and surface finish.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection.
• Measure components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, dial indicator and other measuring instruments.
• Make appropriate offset corrections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and report tool wear, tool breakage, machine alarms and machining issues.
• Maintain proper machine cleanliness, coolant and basic machine condition.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards and workplace safety procedures.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, RPM, feed and depth of cut.


• Good measurement and inspection skills.


• Basic CNC troubleshooting ability.


• Ability to work independently and responsibly.

Preferred candidate profile-

Experience in mould manufacturing, tool room, precision machining, PET preform moulds, bottle/jar moulds or cap & closure moulds will be an advantage.

Knowledge of Siemens NX, SolidCAM or other CAM software will be preferred.
