Responsibilities

• Coordinate US-bound shipments: track PO/shipment status, liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders on documentation (AWB, B/L, commercial invoice).
• Maintain shipment trackers and basic freight cost/OTIF logs in Excel; escalate delays or exceptions to senior staff.
• Support carrier and vendor coordination—rate quotes, booking confirmations, schedule changes—and help compile data for carrier scorecards.
• Assist with compliance documentation (HS code lookups, duty calculations, customs paperwork) under supervision; flag gaps to senior team members.
• Build and maintain simple status reports/dashboards in Excel, assisting senior analysts with data pulls for freight spend and performance reviews.
• Work India-based night shift hours aligned to the US business day to enable real-time coordination with US-based stakeholders.

Role Summary

Entry-to-junior role supporting Maxima's US-bound freight operations. Blends day-to-day shipment/customs coordination with basic KPI tracking and reporting — good fit for someone early in a supply chain career who wants exposure to both the operational and analytical sides of global logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate US-bound shipments: track PO/shipment status, liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders on documentation (AWB, B/L, commercial invoice), support inland trucking coordination from US ports to destination warehouses.
• Maintain shipment trackers and basic freight cost/OTIF logs in Excel, escalating delays or exceptions to senior staff.
• Support carrier and vendor coordination — rate quotes, booking confirmations, schedule changes — and help compile data for carrier scorecards.
• Assist with compliance documentation (HS code lookups, duty calculations, customs paperwork) under supervision, flagging gaps to senior team members.
• Build and maintain simple status reports/dashboards in Excel, assisting senior analysts with data pulls for freight spend and performance reviews.
• Work India-based night shift hours aligned to the US business day to enable real-time coordination with US-based stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination — internships/entry-level roles count.
• Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas).
• Confirmed, ongoing comfort with US night shift hours.
• Strong written/verbal communication for cross-border coordination.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to customs regulation to US and Canada, LATAM, EU and UK.
• Basic exposure to Power BI, SQL, or dashboarding tools.
