Role Summary
The Manager Learning & Development and Performance Management will be responsible for
driving the organization's capability-building and performance excellence agenda. The role will
focus on identifying capability gaps, designing and implementing learning interventions, managing
digital learning platforms, and leading the end-to-end Performance Management System (PMS).
The incumbent will work closely with business leaders and HRBPs to build a high-performance
culture, strengthen leadership pipelines, and ensure alignment of employee development and
performance outcomes with organizational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Learning & Development
Capability Building & Learning Strategy
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and competency gap assessments across functions.
- Design and implement technical, functional, behavioural, and leadership development programs.
- Develop annual learning calendars aligned with business priorities and organizational goals.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives through targeted learning interventions.
Digital Learning & LMS Management
- Manage LMS implementation, administration, adoption, and content governance.
- Develop and deploy digital learning modules, induction programs, and e-learning content.
- Drive innovative learning methodologies such as microlearning, gamification, and AI-enabled learning tools.
- Monitor learning participation, completion rates, and user engagement.
Learning Analytics & Effectiveness
- Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and business impact analysis.
- Create learning dashboards and reports for leadership review.
- Track capability development metrics and recommend improvement initiatives.
2. Performance Management System (PMS)
PMS Governance & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and closure.
- Ensure timely completion and adherence to PMS policies and governance standards.
- Drive implementation of modern performance frameworks including KPIs, OKRs, competency assessments, and 9-box evaluations.
- Facilitate performance calibration discussions and performance review forums.
Performance Analytics & Insights
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and scorecards.
- Analyze performance trends, talent distribution, high-potential identification, and capability gaps.
- Provide data-driven insights to support talent reviews, promotions, succession planning, and reward decisions.
System Management & Digital Enablement
- Manage PMS platform administration, workflow configuration, and data integrity.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance employee and manager experience.
- Ensure seamless integration of PMS data with broader talent management initiatives.
3. Stakeholder Management & Culture Building
- Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to strengthen learning and performance culture.
- Conduct training sessions for managers on effective goal setting, coaching, feedback, and performance conversations.
- Drive employee awareness and adoption of learning and performance processes.
- Facilitate leadership discussions on talent development and organizational capability building.
Job Description
Minimum Education
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in Human Resources with significant exposure to:
- Learning & Development
- Performance Management Systems
- HR Analytics
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of TNA, competency frameworks, and capability-building practices.
Expertise in PMS frameworks, KPIs, OKRs, 9-Box Grid, and competency-based assessments.
Experience with LMS and HRMS/PMS platforms.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in dashboard creation and data interpretation.
