ValuePoint in India invites an L1+/L2 Windows, Linux & Basic Cloud Support Engineer to join our IT operations in Manesar. The role requires 3-6 years of relevant experience and hands-on server administration.

You will provide L1+ support for Windows Server and Linux, perform configuration, patching, and incident resolution, and assist with basic cloud tasks on AWS and Azure. Strong documentation and coordination with MSP teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1+ support for Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1+ support for Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor server health, system performance, and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Perform server patching and preventive maintenance activities.
• Provide basic cloud administration and support for AWS, Microsoft Azure.
• Troubleshoot operating system, application, and network-related issues.
• Coordinate with MSP support team ~ infrastructure, application, and security teams for incident resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration.
• Good hands-on experience with Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell or Bash is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
