Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.Sc in Medical Technology relevant to Respiratory Medicine.
  • Any Language proficiency can be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare respiratory equipment and supplies for patient procedures.
  • Assist qualified clinical staff during respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Support preparation and positioning of patients for respiratory investigations.
  • Operate assigned respiratory equipment within training and scope.
  • Assist with pulmonary function testing and related procedures where trained.
  • Support setup and monitoring of oxygen delivery systems as directed.
  • Assist with nebulization and other respiratory therapy activities under supervision.
  • Check equipment functionality before and after use.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain respiratory equipment according to protocols.
  • Monitor equipment during procedures and report abnormalities promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, equipment use, and patient-related activities.
  • Ensure adequate availability of respiratory supplies and consumables.
  • Follow infection prevention and respiratory safety practices.
  • Handle biomedical waste according to departmental procedures.
  • Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members.
  • Report equipment faults and technical issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Follow departmental SOPs and hospital safety standards.
