- Assist with patient assessment and routine care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting treatment activities within authorized scope.
Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses in providing routine patient care.
- Monitor and record vital signs as assigned.
- Support patient hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and comfort.
- Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and safe transfers.
- Prepare patients for examinations, investigations, and procedures.
- Assist nursing staff during clinical procedures within authorized scope.
- Observe patients and report changes in condition to the responsible nurse.
- Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
- Maintain accurate nursing and patient care documentation.
- Assist with prescribed treatments and medication-related activities as permitted.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient care areas.
- Follow hand hygiene and infection prevention protocols.
- Assist with biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Check and arrange routine nursing supplies and equipment.
- Assist patients and families with basic care-related information.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Follow nursing protocols, hospital policies, and safety standards.
