Job Description

A Technician is responsible for supporting technical and operational activities within the assigned department. The involves operating and maintaining equipment, assisting with routine technical procedures, troubleshooting basic issues, maintaining records, and following safety and quality standards to ensure smooth departmental operations.

• Operate assigned equipment and technical systems according to SOPs.
• Perform routine technical activities within the assigned department.
• Inspect equipment and ensure proper functioning before use.
• Assist in installation, setup, testing, and operation of equipment as applicable.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Report equipment faults, breakdowns, or abnormalities to the concerned supervisor.
• Assist senior technical staff during complex procedures and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate equipment, service, and activity records.
• Ensure availability and proper handling of required tools, materials, and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures while operating equipment and performing technical tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow infection-control and hygiene practices where applicable.
• Handle technical materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage.
• Coordinate with clinical, engineering, maintenance, or other departments as required.
• Assist in checking calibration or performance of equipment where applicable.
• Maintain proper documentation of completed technical activities.
• Support emergency technical requirements within the assigned scope.
