Job summary

RenewX Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Junior Design Engineer – Electrical to support Solar PV project design and engineering. The candidate will prepare SLDs, perform sizing calculations, create electrical drawings in AutoCAD and assist with PVsyst simulations and energy reports.

Ideal candidate holds a relevant Electrical Engineering diploma or degree and up to 2 years of experience. Will work with the Engineering & Design team on utility-scale and rooftop solar projects.

Qualifications

• > B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering required
• > 0–2 years experience
• > Basic understanding of solar electrical systems and ability to prepare drawings, sizing, and energy-generation analysis

Responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for Solar PV projects.
• Perform Solar PV plant capacity calculations and system sizing.
• Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop PV plant layouts, cable routing drawings and other electrical drawings.
• Perform PVsyst simulations and prepare energy-generation reports.
• Assist in selection and sizing of PV modules, inverters, transformers/IDTs, cables, LT/HT panels, switchgear and protection systems.
• Calculate DC/AC ratio, string sizing and inverter loading.
• Prepare Cable Schedule, Equipment Schedule and Electrical BOQ/BOM.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, procurement and project execution teams for design requirements.
• Review technical datasheets and drawings from vendors; maintain drawing revisions.
• Support As-Built Drawings after project completion; ensure IS/IEC standards, CEA requirements and project specs are met

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for Solar PV projects.
• Perform Solar PV plant capacity calculations and system sizing.

• Assist in preparation of earthing and lightning-protection layouts.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, procurement and project execution teams for design requirements.
• Review technical datasheets and drawings received from vendors.
• Revise drawings based on client/consultant comments and maintain proper drawing revisions.
• Support preparation of As-Built Drawings after project completion.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, CEA requirements and project specifications.
