Qualifications

• 8–12 years experience in MW range of solar park design.
• Independently handle >100 MW solar park projects.
• Knowledge of HV switchyards, transmission lines and related design.
• Experience with techno-economical feasibility studies and concept drawings.
• Familiar with Indian/international electrical standards and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project site and perform techno-economic feasibility study.
• Deliver concept designs and BOM for project costing.
• Detail design and engineering of solar parks and HV equipment.
• Size components, select specifications, and obtain design approvals.
• Coordinate with CEIG, utilities, and customers.
• Provide value engineering and design improvements.
• Coordinate with marketing, SCM, and project teams.
• Handle technical clarifications from stakeholders.

Position - Manager - Solar Design & Engineering

Location - Pune

Role Overview:

Design & Engineering for Solar and hybrid power plant including inverter duty transformer yard, LV/HV Cable work & Transmission Lines, Timely deliverables, Accuracy and Completeness of deliverables, Cost optimization, KPIs set for engineering group for the respective position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shall be responsible for proposed project site evaluation & its techno-economic feasibility study and preparation and delivery concept designs and drawings with initial Bill of Quantity for project costing.
• Shall be responsible for detailed Design and Engineering of solar park and related HV switching yard/sub-stations, LV & HV cable & Transmission Lines, meeting system.
• Shall be responsible for Equipment sizing calculation, freezing of component specification and vendor/ 3rd party drawing and design approval.
• Shall be responsible for getting approval of design from CEIG, Utility and customer.
• Value Engineering and continuous design improvement by design innovation and mark research
• Cross functional Coordination like marketing, SCM and project etc.
• Shall be responsible for technical clarification of queries from customer, consultants, vendors and internal partners .

Required Skills & Competencies:

• 8- 12 years experience in MW range of Solar Park design and independently handle more than 100MW solar park.
• Knowledge on Solar Park module, inverter, DC/AC capacity selection, Generation calculation and preparation of techno-economical design proposal
• Knowledge on robotic module cleaning system
• Expertise in Solar Park generation calculation with fixed tilt, seasonal tilt, tracker mechanism mms and poly, mono and Bi-facial modules.
• Good knowledge of HV switchyards & Transmission Lines. Ability to prepare various drawings like SLD, Layout Plan & Sections, Clearance diagrams, Erection drawings, Panel arrangement drawings, etc. for AC switchyards.
• Ability to perform Calculations for Sizing of conductor, cable, switchgear, CT , PT, , Sizing of Equipment (Battery banks, Battery chargers, Auxiliary Transformers, Power cables, etc), Calculations for Lightning Protection, Earth mat size, Indoor & Outdoor Illumination, etc
• Good knowledge in communication, control and protection system of solar park
• Team management and communication

Educational Qualification:

• B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering (Essential)
• M.E./M. Tech in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering (Preferred)

Desired Profile

• B.E/ M.E in Electrical/ Electronic engineer
• Good knowledge on latest industrial design practices for solar park
• Knowledge in Hybrid (solar + wind) plant design
• Knowledge of various Indian and international Electrical standards, regulations and construction practices.
• Knowledge of Project safety and construction practices
• Knowledge of control & Automation, SCADA are an added advantage
