Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and solar design software (PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp).

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with proven experience in the solar industry to support the design, development, and implementation of solar power projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in solar system design, electrical engineering fundamentals, and project execution. An Electrical Engineering background is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solar PV systems including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid installations.
• Prepare system layouts, single line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, PYSYST, and technical drawings.
• Perform system sizing, energy yield calculations, and electrical load analysis.
• Conduct site assessment support and feasibility analysis.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with project teams, procurement, and installation teams for design execution.
• Review technical specifications, BOQ preparation, and material selection.
• Support project documentation including technical reports and approvals.
• Optimize system performance and cost efficiency during design stages.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field.
• Mandatory experience in solar PV design or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar system components, inverters, panels, and electrical integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp or similar).
• Understanding electrical standards and safety practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial or utility-scale solar projects.
• Good understanding of relevant IS standards, CEA regulations, IEC standards, and DISCOM requirements, state-wise solar policies, government schemes, and regulatory requirements (such as UPNEDA, MEDA, GEDA, RREC, HAREDA, etc), Familiarity with Net Metering, Open Access, RESCO/CAPEX projects, and tender specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
