Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai seeks an experienced engineer to perform simulation studies and develop heat & mass balance sheets. You will size equipment, prepare PFD/P&ID, and create datasheets for rotating, static, and instrument components, while estimating power loads and conducting hydraulic calculations.

You will also prepare engineering documents, operating manuals, SAFE charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams, and handle flare/depressurization calculations.

Qualifications

• Experience in performing simulation studies and developing heat & mass balance sheets.
• Prepare PFD, P&ID and datasheets for rotating, static and instrument equipment.
• Estimate power load and perform hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare engineering documents, reports, operating manuals, SAFE charts and cause & effect diagrams.
• Perform flare, blowdown and depressurization calculations.
• Coordinate with lead engineers and other disciplines; ensure timely audit closure.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to Lead Engineers for contract execution.
• Ensure documents/deliverables are complete and in order before issuing to others.
• Anticipate delays and discuss potential issues with the Lead Engineer.
• Coordinate with fellow Job Engineers and Lead Engineers for smooth progress of the contract.
• Close audit findings in a timely manner.
• Provide inputs to relevant disciplines and designers as required.
• Identify inputs for Need list and Hold list and update; follow all CPs/DPs and job procedures.
• Prepare and check documents/deliverables as per procedures and check lists.
• Follow Time Sheet Procedures.

Performing Simulation studies and developing Heat & Mass Balance sheet

• Sizing of Equipment, Instrument and Lines
• Preparation of PFD, P&ID
• Preparation of Datasheets for Rotating, Static and Instruments
• Estimation of Power load
• Preparation of Engineering documents, reports & Operating manual
• Preparation of SAFE Charts, Cause & Effect Diagram
• Flare, Blowdown & Depressurization calculations
• Performing Hydraulic calculation of network lines

To provide engineering support to Lead Engineers for contract execution.

• To be responsible for all the work with reference to a document/deliverables and/or activity assigned to him.
• To ensure that the documents/deliverables, generated, are in order before issuing it to others.
• To anticipate and discuss any potential delays and problems, if any with the Lead Engineer
• To co-ordinate with the fellow Job Engineers and Lead Engineers for smooth progress of the contract
• To close audit findings in a timely manner.
• To provide inputs as and when required to the relevant disciplines and to designers
• To identify the inputs required for Need list and Hold list and update.To follow all CPs/DPs and Job specific procedures during contract Execution.
• To prepare and check documents/deliverables as per relavent procedures and check lists.
