Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai seeks a Process Engineer to perform simulation studies and develop Heat & Mass Balance sheets, sizing equipment and lines, and preparing essential engineering documents.

You will prepare PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and perform hydraulic calculations while supporting Lead Engineers on contract execution. Attention to deliverables and audit closure is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs to reflect process design.
• Carry out hydraulic calculations for network lines and ensure accuracy of data.
• Size equipment, instruments and lines per project specs.
• Create datasheets for rotating, static and instrument components.
• Support lead engineers during contract execution and document reviews.
• Close audit findings and ensure deliverables are complete and compliant.

Performing Simulation studies and developing Heat & Mass Balance sheet

• Sizing of Equipment, Instrument and Lines
• Preparation of PFD, P&ID
• Preparation of Datasheets for Rotating, Static and Instruments
• Estimation of Power load
• Preparation of Engineering documents, reports & Operating manual
• Preparation of SAFE Charts, Cause & Effect Diagram
• Flare, Blowdown & Depressurization calculations
• Performing Hydraulic calculation of network lines
• To provide engineering support to Lead Engineers for contract execution.
• To be responsible for all the work with reference to a document/deliverables and/or activity assigned to him.
• To ensure that the documents/deliverables, generated, are in order before issuing it to others.
• To anticipate and discuss any potential delays and problems, if a with the Lead Engineer
• To co-ordinate with the fellow Job Engineers and Lead Engineers for smooth progress of the contract
• To close audit findings in a timely manner.
• To provide inputs as and when required to the relevant disciplines and to designers
• To identify the inputs required for Need list and Hold list and update
