Job summary

PeopleStrong in Mumbai seeks a Chemical Engineering Process Engineer to perform simulation studies, develop heat and mass balances, and size equipment and lines. The role involves creating PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets and engineering reports, estimating power load, and preparing safety and operating documents.

The candidate will support lead engineers on contracts, ensure document quality, coordinate with teams, and handle audit findings and inputs for the Need Hold lists.

Qualifications

• BTech in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with simulation studies and heat and mass balance is preferred.
• Ability to prepare PFDs, P&ID and datasheets for equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and process safety concepts.
• Strong documentation and coordination with lead engineers.

Responsibilities

• Performing Simulation studies and developing Heat & Mass Balance sheet.
• Sizing of Equipment, Instrument and Lines.
• Preparation of PFD, P&ID.
• Preparation of Datasheets for Rotating, Static and Instruments.
• Estimation of Power load.
• Preparation of Engineering documents, reports & Operating manual.
• Preparation of SAFE Charts, Cause & Effect Diagram.
• Flare, Blowdown & Depressurization calculations.
• Performing Hydraulic calculation of network lines.
• Provide engineering support to Lead Engineers for contract execution.
• Responsible for all assigned documents/deliverables and ensure they are orderly before issuing.
• Anticipate delays and discuss with Lead Engineer.
• Coordinate with fellow Job Engineers and Lead Engineers for smooth progress.
• Close audit findings in a timely manner.
• Provide inputs to relevant disciplines and designers.
• Identify inputs required for Need list and Hold list and update.
