Job summary

BIG Language Solutions in Noida invites an Italian Language Specialist to join our client servicing team for interpreting across telephone, in person and video relay. The role requires accurate interpretation and strict confidentiality during client engagements.

The ideal candidate has a B.Com degree with 2+ years of Italian interpretation experience or training, strong language proficiency, and excellent communication skills to support our global customers.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos and short notes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.

Designation: Italian Language Specialist

Location: Noida (Work from office)

Shift: US Shift (6pm-3am)

Summary

To provide interpreting services via telephone, in person and/or video relay to our customers and their clients by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fluency in the languages to be interpreted.
• To facilitate understanding in communication by faithfully interpreting, into the target language, everything being said without adding, omitting or changing anything.
• To maintain impartiality and show no bias or preference toward either party while interpreting.
• To interpret in the first form at all times; clarify when necessary (informing both parties) and maintain the highest level of confidentiality as well as abide by code of ethics for interpreters.
• To be aware of his/her own culture and other cultures encountered in their duties and explaining any cultural differences when appropriate.
• To preserve the highest level of proficiency by, continuing to improve his/her interpreting skills and ethical performance.
• Must demonstrate the highest level of customer service towards our clients and theirs, at all times.
• Perform all office functions and other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested

Education & Experience

B.Com graduation with 2+ years of Italian interpretation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skill

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
