Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented IT Intern to support day-to-day IT operations across allbranches. The intern will be a key support point for IT asset setup, network troubleshooting, utility andconnectivity bill payments, procurement support, and cross-departmental coordination. This role is ideal forsomeone building a career in IT operations who can take ownership of routine IT tasks and help maintainbusiness continuity, including during the absence of the IT lead.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utility & Connectivity Bill Management- Track and process timely payments for all internet / Wi-Fi connections across every branch.- Manage and clear all Electricity Board (EB) bills for all branches, ensuring no lapses or disconnections.- Maintain a tracker of billing cycles, due dates, and payment confirmations.- Keep records of all payment receipts and reconcile with vendors / finance.
2. IT Asset Setup & Provisioning- Configure and set up laptops and mobile devices in line with company IT policy.- Keep devices and accessories ready for smooth handover to new and existing employees.- Install required software and apply standard security settings and configurations.- Handle device collection and reset during employee offboarding.
3. Network & Systems Support- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across branches.- Handle basic network configurations, router / switch setup, and IP address assignment.- Support Wi-Fi setup and maintenance.- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
4. Asset Tracking & Record Keeping- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT and company assets purchased.- Record asset details — serial number, assigned user, purchase date, warranty, and location.- Track asset allocation, movement, and returns.- Conduct periodic audits to ensure records match physical assets.
5. Procurement Support- Support the creation of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for various departments.- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
6. Coordination & Administrative Support- Coordinate between departments — technical and non-technical — to resolve IT-related needs.- Support the setup of meetings, including conference room / virtual meeting tools.- Provide general IT support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, Wi-Fi, LAN).
- Familiarity with Windows / macOS setup and common office software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to multitask and take ownership of tasks independently.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- Exposure to asset management or procurement processes.
- Familiarity with a PO/PR or ERP tool [e.g., Zoho, Omanda Management].
- Basic hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, Wi-Fi, LAN).
- Familiarity with Windows / macOS setup and common office software.
