Job summary

Synergy Infratech Power Systems is seeking an IT Engineer/Officer to manage IT infrastructure for a manufacturing setting. The role covers network, server, and security tasks, with an emphasis on maintaining ERP and MES systems and coordinating with vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear communication with non-technical factory staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / BCA / BCS is required.
• 3-4 years of experience as IT Engineer/Officer in manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Windows, database maintenance and ERP is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain LAN/WAN, servers and firewalls in the office.
• Support MES/ERP tools and other manufacturing software.
• Troubleshoot shop-floor terminals, barcode scanners, printers and industrial PCs.
• Execute routine data backups, security patches and access controls to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with external vendors and plant teams for deploying and maintaining factory technology.

Role & responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Maintain local area networks (LAN/WAN), servers, and firewalls in the office.
• Manufacturing Systems Support: Support specialized operational software like Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
• Hardware & Device Maintenance: Troubleshoot shop-floor terminals, barcode scanners, printers, and industrial PCs.
• System Security & Backups: Execute routine data backups, security patches, and network access controls to prevent production downtime.
• Vendor & Project Coordination: Work with external tech vendors and cross-functional plant teams to deploy new factory technology and maintenance of existing technology.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Information Technology / BCA / BCS
• Experience: 3-4 years as IT Engineer / Officer in Manufacturing Industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, database maintenance, ERP.
